Welcome to Hickory Hills JackS! We offer top quality puppies with great personalities. My husband and I started raising Shortie Jack Russell Terriers in 2013 with Annie. When Annie arrived, our children were just babies. Sydney was almost 3 and Jackson was 15 months. From the very beginning, we all fell in love with the Shortie. They have hilarious personalities, fierce hunting drives, and longevity in life made them a perfect fit for our family. 

 

We raise our puppies in our home and kennel as if they were staying with us forever. We expose the puppies to a wide variety of situations and environments in order to provide the most well rounded puppy we absolutely can. We have started a puppy curriculum at 3 weeks of age, puppies get a  weekly water bath, followed by nail trimmings. At the time they are self weaned (which is around 6 to 6 1/2 weeks of age), puppies are started kennel and potty training. We feel that starting them with their littermates greatly increases success at an early age. Finally, puppies are handled on a daily basis by all members of our family. From the time they are born, until they leave with their new owners they are cared for with tender, loving care.
